Welcome
After receiving a degree in Mathematics from Abilene Christian University, I have served Everman ISD for twenty-one years in various roles as a teacher, coach, and district math coordinator, and after only my first year, I fell in love with the school and community. For the past five years, I have been serving in my dream job for Everman as the academic advisor at Everman High School. This job combines all my passions: sports, educating students, community outreach, and providing students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds with an opportunity to graduate and pursue any route they choose in life.
As an academic advisor, I work with all athletes from 7th graders to seniors in high school, regardless of their desire or ability to play sports at the next level. I want success for everyone, and that looks different for every student. I assist students with NCAA/NAIA eligibility registration, test prep, course selection, GPA requirements, and core class requirements that set student-athletes up for future success. I also work with all seniors on post-high school plans.
Each role I have served in this district has led me to the experience needed to work collaboratively with the athletic director, campus principals, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and the community. Being a student-athlete is a unique experience. My vision for my career is to create equity for college access and success for all students. As Academic Advisor, I will work to give students the opportunity to transform their lives through higher education.
