Assistant Principal - Maria Garcia

Maria Garcia is thrilled to join the leadership team at Joe C. Bean High School as Assistant Principal, bringing with her a wealth of experience, a deep passion for education, and a commitment to promoting academic excellence and personal growth for all students.

Born in Mexico and brought to the United States at a young age, Ms. Garcia grew up immersed in both Mexican and American cultures, which allowed her to become fully fluent in both Spanish and English. With a Master's degree in Education Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Ms. Garcia has dedicated her career to fostering bilingualism and creating enriching learning experiences for students.

With years of experience as a Spanish teacher, Ms. Garcia has successfully worked with students of various proficiency levels, helping them not only master the language but also appreciate the cultural richness it brings. As Department Head, she led curriculum development, coordinated with colleagues, and spearheaded initiatives aimed at improving student achievement. Additionally, in her role as a Teacher Mentor, she provided guidance and support to fellow educators, helping them refine their teaching practices and grow professionally.

Ms. Garcia is deeply committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging educational environment where both students and teachers can thrive. Her unique background, combined with her academic and professional experience, allows her to contribute meaningfully to the educational community and to promote the growth of bilingual and bicultural students.

Ms. Garcia is excited to embark on her new role as Assistant Principal at Joe C. Bean High School, where she looks forward to meeting the students and the entire Everman community.
