Grading Make-Up Redo Policies

Grading Breakdown

  • 40% CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK
  • 40% TEST
  • 20% PROJECTS

Make Up Policy Due to Absences

If a student is absent he/she will have the same number of days to make up any missed assignment.

Late Work Policy

If a student fails to complete work on-time, it is at the teacher’s discretion on accepting the late work. Typically this is a 10% grade reduction for each day it is late, for 3 days, with a zero resulting on the 4th day. Late work failing grades do not qualify for redo policy as the student made a choice to not complete the work.

Redo Policy-Failing grades

Homework/Classwork

  • Upon receiving an unfavorable grade (69 or below), the student must immediately notify the teacher of their intent for a redo.
  • When a grade is impacted due to academic dishonesty, the student is not eligible for redo.
  • A review/tutor session must happen before the redo work is accepted.
  • Students should correct all items they did not receive full credit on, showing the correct work. The student must demonstrate that he/she understands how to correctly complete the work.
  • Redo’s need to be completed within 5 calendar days, including weekends if applicable.
  • Redo grade will not exceed 70%.

Test/Project (Does not Include Six Weeks Exam)

  • Students who refuse to take/complete the original test/project are not eligible to retest.
  • When a grade is impacted due to academic dishonesty, the student is not eligible for retesting/Redo.
  • A review/tutor session must happen before the redo work is accepted.
  • The retest/redo for a specific test/project must be completed within 5 school days following delivery of the test score.
  • Redo grade will not exceed 70%.

Final Exams (Six Weeks Exam & Semester Exam) are not subject to the re-do opportunity policy.

Assignments must be re-done prior to Mid-Term (3rd Week) or Final Examination week (6th Week).

Time to redo/retest will not conflict with Current classwork and will be communicated to the student by the teacher.
